Choosing the Right Hair and Makeup to Suit You!

The Science of Choosing the right hair and makeup colours to help you look your best! When choosing the right colours you can make your features really pop and look amazing. Making the choice to use hair colour and/or makeup is all about accentuating your best features and highlighting your natural beauty. I am going to let you know some tips and tricks to help you choose your best colours.
The first thing that you need to do is determine the undertone of your skin. There are three undertone options: warm, cool or neutral. One way to tell which undertone you are is by looking at the colour of the veins in your wrist. Blue tones mean that you are more cool toned, green means that you are warmer but you can also be a combination of blue and green and that means that you are more neutral. Warm skin is going to have more of a yellow undertone, while cool skin is going to have more if a pink or blue undertone to it.
Another thing to look at is eye colour. Choosing certain colours can really make your eye colour pop, and who doesn’t want that? Warm eye colours include: warm brown, amber and hazel. Cool eyes include: blue, green or very dark brown.
If you have a warmer skin tone the warmer colours are going to look better on you. Warmer blonde colours would include golden blonde, strawberry blonde, warm reds, and coppers. A Warm brunette colour would be chocolate brown. You will also look best wearing warm colours and gold jewelry.
If you have a cooler skin tone, cooler colours are going to look better on you. Cooler blonde colours would include white blonde, ash blonde, silvery blonde. A cool brunette would be more of a deep espresso colour and a cool red would be burgundy. You will look best wearing cool colours and wearing silver or white gold.
If you are a neutral undertone you can pull off multiple looks. You could also be a combination of warm and cool. For example you could have a warm golden undertone in your skin but still have cool toned eyes. You have the option to play with colours and choose what you feel best in.
Choosing the wrong colours can play up your undertones in a negative way. In most cases its best to work within your colour family. For example If you have a cool undertone in your skin and have golden blonde hair it could make your skin look very dull and the blonde look very un-natural where as a cool blonde would look more flattering. Warm hair with a warm skin tone is best and cool hair with a cool skin undertone look best.
